Helping Good Causes was established to assist people with impaired mobility/debilitating muscular related problems, and in particular, those hoping to regain their financial independence through genuine employment.   This remit includes sports people who represented their region or country and incurred muscular based injuries that could benefit from rehabilitation equipment.

Helping Good Causes Ltd is a 'Limited By Guarantee' company and engages in commercial activities to create a permanent funding source immune from the on-set of ‘giving fatigue’ - as can beset charitable institutions.  One trading activity involves helping British Industry and Commerce to be professionally represented on the World-Wide-Web, as performed by the company’s Internet Division -  UK WebWise.

Charities operating within the UK benefit from advantageous tax concessions and as a result are excluded from many trading activities. To circumvent this situation the Government sanction Limited By Guarantee companies that have no shareholders and therefore no dividend paying capability, enabling their trading profits to go towards ‘helping good causes’.  Although still charitable by nature, such organisations can trade vigorously in the commercial market place.
